Student Announcements:


Hearing and Vision Screening:


October 17th and 18th Hearing and Vision Screenings will be held in the Auditorium and Lancer Hall during both school days for all 10th graders during their Health/PE class.  Students who are new to Fairfax County Public Schools will also be screened.


Students to be screened:

  • If you wear glasses, please be sure that you have them with you on your screening day 
  • All ear buds/pods need to be removed before you enter the auditorium



Friday Prayer:

If you would like to participate in this opportunity, please get a prayer permission slip from the administrator at all lunches or your permanent prayer pass then.  They are in the closet in the cafeteria with the ID cards.  You will need either the prayer pass or the permission slip to attend on on Fridays in the dance room at 1:00 pm.   



Cafeteria Workers Appreciation Week-A huge shout out to our Cafeteria team here at Lee HS!  You all are always willing to help us, help our students and run a really awesome café!  Thank you for all you do! 


Health and Wellness Fair: Due to weather, the 9th grade Health Fair will be in the Main Gym during 6th and 8th period instead of the Football Field. Please bring your classes to the Main Gym and support 9th grade Health and P.E.


Fall Orchestra concert: Please join us at the Fall Orchestra Concert on Tuesday Oct. 22nd at 7:00pm in the auditorium.  Featured pieces include Ashokan Farewell, Brandenburg Concerto Number 3, music from the movie Psycho, and much more!  Please contact Ms. Altekruse with any question.


Math Honor Society: The first meeting of the Math Honor Society will be held after school TODAY Thursday, October 17th in room 325 at 3:05 PM.  All new and old members must attend.  We’ll be electing new officers, collecting your dues, and going over your membership requirements for the coming school year.  Please be on time!


NAHS: NAHS will hold a mandatory meeting Oct 23 in room 238 at 3:00. See Mrs. O’Shaughnessy with questions.


Fellowship of Christian Athletes: will meet on Monday, October 21 at 3:00pm  in The Career Center.  This is for both athletes and non-athletes.  Come and be a part of the fun.  Snacks will be provided.


Softball: Every Wednesday there will be a green day at the Softball field at 430 pm, please bring your softball equipment


Juniors: Senior Picture days are coming up

            10/30, 11/1, 11/4 and 11/5 in the dance room starting at 3:30

            You received an appointment card in the mail to your home address with your appointment time.

Donation Box: Hello Lancers! Looking for service hour opportunities? Looking to get more involved at Lee?  Do you have any clothes or food you could donate? Do you enjoy helping others less fortunate than yourself?  Well we have a great club for you! Come to the next Donation Box Club meeting on Tuesday, October 22 to learn more about the club. The meeting will take place in room 180 at 3:05. See you there!  Talk to Maron Negassi or Brianna Shah if you have any questions.



Indoor Concession Stand: The indoor concession stand will be open after school from 3:00-3:30 every Tuesday and Thursday.


Math Tutor Center: Math Tutor Center will be open from 3:00 - 4:30 PM in Room 325 on Wednesdays                 


Green Team: Green Team recycles each Weds after school for service hours  at 3:00 PM in Room 330.   Lee HS recycled  18% of its waste saving about 350 trees last year but we still made almost 200,000 lbs. of trash.  Let's make less plastic waste by getting more reusable water bottles.  Have an apple core, banana, or orange peel?  Bring vegetable and fruit scraps to a biology teacher.  Your scraps will be added to the Lee HS compost bin to become become soil rather than trash in a landfill.  Lancers are going Green!


Liberty’s Promise:

Liberty’s Promise meetings are on Mondays and Wednesdays after school in room 154


After-School Weight Room: The weight room is open after-school on Monday and Thursday from 3:05PM – 4:30PM. Make sure to grab a waiver from the folder outside of the weight room, get it signed, and bring it back to Ms. Jackson. Happy Lifting!


College and Career Center:

There will be a college fair field trip on October 23rd at the Eagle Bank Arena. If you are interested in attending, please pick up a field trip form in the Career Center or see Mrs. Caldwell or Mrs. Fulmore.


Students, if you are interested in an Apprenticeship Career, come to the College & Career Center for a field trip form.


Senior Information:

From now on Ms. Rodriguez and Mrs. Rogin-Marks will collect Senior dues on Friday mornings in the main lobby before 1st block.

This will remain in place all year.  Senior dues are $105. Cash or checks through your MySchoolbucks account
